Nature of Services

Pet End‑of‑Life Support offers emotional, practical, and informational support during difficult stages of a pet’s life, including before and after euthanasia or natural passing. Services are provided in the role of a support coach, not as a licensed medical professional, veterinarian, mental health provider, or therapist. Support may include emotional presence and listening; guidance through end‑of‑life considerations; assistance preparing for veterinary appointments; support during grief and remembrance; help navigating practical decisions (e.g., aftercare planning, memorial options).

Not Medical or Therapeutic Care

Pet End‑of‑Life Support does not provide: veterinary advice; medical diagnoses or treatment recommendations; mental health therapy or counseling; crisis intervention or emergency services. All medical decisions regarding pets should be made in consultation with a licensed veterinarian. All mental health concerns requiring diagnosis or treatment should be addressed with a licensed mental health professional.

Emergency & Crisis Situations

Pet End‑of‑Life Support is not an emergency service. If you or someone in your household is experiencing thoughts of self‑harm or harm to others, a mental health crisis, or an emergency medical situation, please contact local emergency services, a licensed healthcare provider, or a crisis hotline appropriate to your location.

Families & Multiple Participants

Support may involve individuals, couples, families, or households. Each participant acknowledges that support is offered for shared processing and guidance; confidentiality applies within reasonable limits; Pet End‑of‑Life Support is not responsible for resolving interpersonal conflicts or disputes.

Client Responsibility

By engaging in services, clients acknowledge and agree that all decisions regarding pets remain the client’s responsibility; Pet End‑of‑Life Support does not make decisions on behalf of clients; support is voluntary and may be ended at any time by either party.

Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions is treated with care and discretion. However, confidentiality may be limited if there is a concern of immediate harm to self or others, or if disclosure is required by law. Pet End‑of‑Life Support does not guarantee absolute confidentiality in situations involving safety or legal obligations.

Scheduling, Payment & Boundaries

Sessions are scheduled in advance; payment terms are agreed upon prior to sessions; missed or cancelled sessions may be subject to cancellation policies outlined separately; communication outside of scheduled sessions may be limited to protect boundaries.

Geographic & Virtual Services

Services may be offered virtually (phone or video) and in‑person on a limited basis and by prior arrangement. In‑person support availability may be subject to location, travel radius, and scheduling constraints.
